He was predeceased by: his parents, Myrtus Turner and Ruth Robertson Turner; and his brother Eddie Lee Turner. He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Smith Turner; his children, Darlene Shipe Knicely of Bridgewater, Jessica Shipe Clinedinst (David) of Elkton, Edward Scott Turner (Marilyn) of Harrisonburg and Jason Shipe (Heather Lambert) of Bridgewater; his sisters, Cindy Pence (Larry) of Florida and Linda Nipe (George) of Harrisonburg; and his grandchildren, Cecil Phillip Turner, Austin Clinedinst and Madilyn Clinedinst.
