He is survived by: his wife Ella Short Fields; his daughters, Audrea Laraine Fields (Mike Poole) of Rockingham and Valerie Yvonne Fields (Jonathan Harris) of Hamlet; his grandchildren, Adam Butler, Christopher Alan Fields, Alaina Maria Fields, Andrew Fields and Jordan Fields; and his great grandchild Layne Butler.
