He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Owensby and Ethel Owensby; his brother Ralph; and his nephews, Bob and Charles Bowles.
He is survived by: his wife Juanita; his children, Jason (Leigh Ann), Jon (Rebecca) and Joanna; his grandchildren, Sam, Dylan and Paxton; his siblings, Elsie Bowles (Jimmie Harrington), Larry (Jeanne) and Bill (Gail); and his pets, Diesel and Amber.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Watson King Funeral Home (100 Cheraw Rd, Hamlet, NC 28345). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Marks Creek Presbyterian Church (484 Marks Creek Church Rd, Hamlet, NC 28345).
