It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Donald Jenkins of Hamlet, North Carolina, born in Cleveland, North Carolina, who passed away on August 5, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Yan Jenkins and Gladys Holland Jenkins. He is survived by: his wife Jo Jenkins; his children, Tracy Jenkins Sprankle (Ray), David Jenkins and Joy Jenkins Kennedy (Thomas); his grandchildren, Andrew Sprankle (Rebecca), Jessica Sprankle, Julie Sprankle, Rad Kennedy, Canyan Jenkins and Anna Kennedy; his great grandchildren, Anne Sprankle and Joseph Sprankle; and his siblings, Helen Smith, Brenda Newman (Don) and Danny Jenkins (Cheryl). He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
