He was predeceased by: his parents, Moses Franklin and Carolyn Green Bruton; and his brothers, Oscar and Frankie Bruton. He is survived by: his wife Marsha Bruton; his son Johnny Johnson (Jessica) of Hamlet; his grandchildren, Savannah Johnson (Brandon) and Damien Keell (Sonya); and his great grandchildren, Daxton, Aubrii and Ada.
In addition to flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made out to either East Rockingham United Methodist Church at 490 Mill Rd, Rockingham, NC 28379, or Liberty Hospice at 300 W. Pennsylvania Avenue Southern Pines, NC 28387.
