He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Floyd and Carlton Varnes; his stepfather Clint Floyd; his brother Richard Floyd; and his brother-in-law Lynwood Dunn Sr..
He is survived by: his sibling Parkton; his wife Linda Dunn Varnes of Hamlet; his children, Amanda Bertsch (Kory) and Kevin Taylor (Tiffanie); his grandchildren, Austin, Knox Bertsch and Alex Taylor; his siblings, Stephen Varnes (Candy), Monty Floyd (Wanda), Jean Floyd (Angel), Jeffrey Floyd (Penny), Lila Wilkes (Ralph), Judith Miller (Phil) and Susan Hales (Ricky); and his siblings-in-law, Jimmy Dunn (Lynda) and Terri Dunn. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
