He is survived by: his wife Karen Mizelle Coffield; his sons, Christopher Coffield of Hamilton and Ryan Coffield of Williamston; and his siblings, Sammy Coffield, Charles Coffield of Washington, Henry Coffield of Colerain, Joyce Sherrill of Boone and Libby Wobbleton of Tarboro.
