She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Meador Alford and Clara Baker Alford; and her half-siblings, Myrial Reed Hughes, Louise Reed Sheffield and Robert Reed.
She is survived by: her daughter Lisa Kathleen of Hamilton; her husband Lee Hering (Texaco) of Hamilton; her son Gregory Hering of Huntsville; her grandchildren, Nicole Hering and Lucas Hering of Huntsville; her sister Barbara Alford Clark; and her brother-in-law John Clark of Irving. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
