We are sad to announce that on October 29, 2022, at the age of 92, Jim Thomas Mathes (Hamilton, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Mathes and Fotene Hamberis Mathes; and his daughter Frances Nelson. He is survived by: his wife Stella Thalassinos Mathes; his son George Mathes of Winston-Salem; his siblings, Rita Georgoulias (Mike) of Winston-Salem and Nick Mathes (Maria) of Winston-Salem; and his sister-in-law Despina T. Davis of Winston-Salem. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
