She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Pace and Malta Pace; her husband Irvin Hickman; her siblings, Bill Pace and Ann Barfield; her daughters, Sue Harrell and Mary Long; and her sons-in-law, David Herring, Eddy Morgan and Ricky Long.
She is survived by: her daughters, Dianne Fowler (Stevie) of Green Sea, SC and Betty Morgan of Hallsboro, NC; her siblings, Gillis Pace (Brenda) of Hallsboro, NC and Joyce McPherson (Eugene) of High Point, NC; her brother-in-law Harvey Barfield of Tabor City, NC; her son-in-law Rex Harrell of Hallsboro, NC; and her grandchildren, Linda Creech (David), Jennifer Smith (Linwood), Christy Morgan, Kimberly Robinson (Quincey), Susan Harrell, Donna Burney (David), Melissa Hardee (Eddie), Brenda Fowler (Steve), Victoria Strickland (Caleb), Adam Long (Crystal) and Louis Fowler. She is also survived by 30 great grandchildren; 16 great- great grandchildren; many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
She loved to crochet and often made prayer shawls and baby blankets for charity.
