She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonnie Jackson Dew and Bertha Barefoot Dew; her husband Thomas Allen Ward; and her siblings, Edna Carter (Sykes) of Middlesex, N. Y., Geneva Perry (Clinton) of Hallsboro, Clayton Dew (Marie) of Hallsboro and J. B. Dew of Hallsboro.

She is survived by: her brother Junior Dew (Freida) of Hallsboro; her sister-in-law Elsie Brooks of Monroe; her friend Doris Castleman of Whiteville, NC.; her children, Cheryl Williamson (Larry) of Hallsboro, Thomas Earl Ward (Jenny) of Lake Waccamaw, Gay Strickland (Dan) of Tabor City and Terry Ward (Sherry) of Hallsboro; and her grandchildren, Amy Williamson Brewington (Chris) of Lumberton, Chad Williamson (Crystal) of Hallsboro, Seth Ward (Amy) of Hallsboro, Heather Ward Williams (Tre) of Scranton, Paige Strickland Smith, Justin of Morehead City, Elizabeth Strickland Blackmon (Chris) of Whiteville, Chelsey Ward Duncan and Courtney Ward of Hallsboro. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, 5 great great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
