It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cornelius Floyd of Hallsboro, North Carolina, born in Columbus, North Carolina, who passed away on September 25, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Floyd and Earlie Lee Floyd; his wife Virginia Hester Floyd; and his siblings, Roy Edward Floyd, Lizzie F. Hammond, Kenneth Floyd and Noah Floyd.
He is survived by: his daughter Jennifer Leigh Floyd Watts (Austin) of Waxhaw, NC; his grandsons, Austin Watts, Jr. and Robert Neil Watts; and his siblings, Geneva F. Hall of Whiteville, Mitchell Wayne Floyd (Reeda) of Floyd, VA and Doris Ann F. Smith of Pineville, WV. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
