She was predeceased by: her parents, Nicholes Andrew Scherer and Anna May Marquett Scherer; her husband Billy Ray Bright; and her siblings, Tommy and Theresa.
She is survived by: her daughter Rebekkah Lauren Bright of Beulaville, NC; her grandchildren, Ciarra, Julian and Angelo; and her siblings, Loretta Elswick (Steve) of West Virginia, Cindy, Eleanor, Donna and Arthur Scherer of Georgia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the McKenzie Mortuary (112 Jefferson St, Whiteville, NC 28472). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the McKenzie Mortuary Chapel (112 Jefferson St, Whiteville, NC 28472).
