He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ward and Maxine Ward. He is survived by: his children, Alice Ward Gray of New York, Minnie Ward Graham of New York, Ronnie Ward of Gastonia, Dave Ward of Selma and Terrence Ward of Wilmington; and his siblings, Stanley Ward and Rosile W. Tyus. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
