He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Reid Parrott, Sr. and Nola Benton Parrott; his wife Margaret Allen Parrott; and his sister-in-law Cotten Skinner Parrott. He is survived by: his sons, Jacob Reid Parrott, III (Parker Davis) of Raleigh, NC and Benjamin Allen Parrott of Greenville, NC.; his grandchildren, Benjamin Allen Parrott, Jr. and Dorsey Elizabeth Parrott of Greenville, NC; and his brothers, Donald Benton Parrott (Cathy) of Gastonia, NC and James Hubert Parrott (Susan) of Morehead City, NC. He is also survived by numerous cousins and lifelong friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be made to the Reid Parrott Scholarship in care of Nash Community College Foundation, 522 N. Old Carriage Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
