He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Coleman McDaniel and Vivian Martin McDaniel; and his sisters, Alice Sanders, Jean Pearson and Linda Kaye McDaniel.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Kay Black McDaniel; his children, Ricky Dale McDaniel and Melissa McDaniel Webb (Harry); his brother Danny Ray McDaniel; his grandchildren, Jessica Webb Terrill (Trey), Noah Webb and Logan Dale McDaniel; and his great grandchildren, Levi Terrill, Elias Terrill and Brielle Terrill.
