She was predeceased by: her husband Marvin "Bill" Gillian; her parents, Corbet Phillips and Daisy Sentell Phillips; her son Ricky Sheppard; and her siblings, George Phillips, Vernon Phillips, Roy Phillips, Willie Phillips, Dean Phillips, Nannie Smith, Odell Henderson, Dora Bonner and Ruth Smiley.
She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Sheppard of Grover, NC, Rex Sheppard (Sherri) of Blacksburg and Debbie Arrowood (David) of Grover, NC; and her grandchildren, Brandi Crocker, Kelly Ferguson, Amy Heffner (Jonathan), Melissa Sheppard, Brittany Sheppard and Kenny Sheppard (Haley). She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren.
