It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Whitworth of Grover, North Carolina, born in Cleveland, North Carolina, who passed away on October 16, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Talmadge Rippy and Iver Mae Head Rippy; her husband Lee A. Whitworth; and her siblings, Annie Lee Rippy, Lib Blanton, Louella Rippy, Velvia Martin, Dean Rippy and Bobby George Rippy.
She is survived by: her children, Tony Lee Whitworth (Brenda) and Kim Bright of Grover; her grandson Brandon Bright (Stephanie) of Shelby; her great grandchildren, Waylon Lee and Wyatt Lee Bright; and her sisters, Brenda Mace and Trit Lowery.
