He was predeceased by: his parents, Dever Donald Watkins and Margaret Janelle Howard; and his stepfather Charles Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Kim Robinson; his son Tim Watkins of Kings Mountain; his siblings, Mark Watkins (Robin) of Charleston, SC, Jerry "Jake" Watkins of Kannapolis, NC and Rhonda Skipper (Aaron) of Charlotte; and his uncle Bud Howard of Forest City, NC.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
