With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Clayton Prater (Grover, North Carolina), who passed away on May 3, 2020 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Callie H. Prater and Edith Holbrook Prater. He is survived by: his wife Mary Elizabeth Stringfellow Prater; his daughters, Rhonda Williams of Ironton and Karen Schwendau of Byron, Illinois; his stepchildren, David Ross of Gastonia, Patty Ross of Shelby and Darla Wyatt of Shelby; and his sisters, Ethel Thompson of Warsaw and Bethel Barth of Milford, Indiana. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 1 great grandson and numerous step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
