He was predeceased by: his parents, Will Day and Ora Morgan Day; and his sons, Neal Day, Samuel Day and Charles Day.
He is survived by: his wife Minnie Catherine Blanton Day; his children, Anthony Day (Kim) of Jacksonville, NC and Vickie Alexander (Joey) of Blacksburg; his daughter-in-law Dianne Day of Polkville, NC; his sister Grace Gregory of Nantahala, NC; his grandchildren, Christol Cole, Ashley Earls, Sara Yeargin (Stanley), Anna Cobb (Will), Jash Day (Jennifer), Jason Day (Gena), Renea Bowen (Victor) and Grayson Day; and his niece Teresa Ellis.
