It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Verna Jenkins Grimes (Grimesland, North Carolina), who passed away on March 10, 2019, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her son Marcelus Jenkins; and her brother Clennie J. Hemby. She is survived by: her husband George Larry Grimes; her son James M. Jenkins (Saundrea) of Milford, PA; her sister Dianne Barnes (Willie); her siblings-in-law, Patricia Hemby, Deborah Powell (Laddie), Eleanor Howard, Linda Harding (Guy), Doris Gooding (Charles) and Terry Grimes of Hugh Grimes; and her grandchildren, James Jenkins of Krystna Audin and McKenzie. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and friends.
