He was predeceased by: his father John S. Davis, II; and his sister Marsha Davis Owen. He is survived by: his wife Emily Q. Davis; his mother Angie Davis of Wilmington; and his sister Joni Jimbo (Hiraku) of Greensboro. He is also survived by three nephews; and one niece.
