He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Lee Hawkins; and his children, Cindy Taft (David), Patricia Kephart (David), Jini Ashley (Sam), James Magruder (Gina) and Ernest Bass. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
