He is survived by: his wife Ella Fitzpatrick Brooks; his children, Ronald, Robert, Remington (Kristi), John, Matthew (Kasi) and Brittany (William Revels); his grandchildren, Rachel, Hannah, Keason, Kristin, Katelyn, Wyatt, Sloan, Brady, Lily and Charlie; his brother John (Julia); his sisters-in-law, Dondra Asbury, Sharon Stacy and Judy Surface; and his niece Kim Cole.
