He was predeceased by: his father Charles Plater; his grandparents, David and Susie Langley; and his uncle Wilton "Buddy" Langley. He is survived by: his mother Velma R. Langley; and his sons, Gregory Langley of Washington, D. C. and Wilton Langley of Greenville, NC. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
