It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thelma Taylor (Greenville, North Carolina), who passed away on January 11, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father James Madison; her husbands, William Lindsey Griffin and John H. Taylor, Jr.; and her siblings, Wilbur (Gertrude), Norman (Margaret), Burnice (Elsie), Linwood (Mary), Rubelle Mooring (Zeb), Bessie Thomas (Ben), Lottie Mozingo (Mark) and Lila McLawhorn (Jerry).
She is survived by: her children, Lindsey R Griffin (Jamison) of Greenville, Janet G Knox (Hal) of Greenville and William Jeffrey Griffin (Carla) of Greenville; her grandchildren, Cory Knox (Kelly) of Fayetteville, Brianna Gee (George) of Wake Forest, Laura Beth Jaramillo (Zeke) of Greenville, Kelly Smith (Kevin) of Concord, Brian Griffin of Brooklyn and Alex Griffin; her great grandchildren, Julian and James Knox; her grandchildren, Ava, Clara Grace, Noah, Anna Gee, Gabby, Madelyn Jaramillo, Abigail, Walter and Ainsley Smith; and her sisters, Doris Moore of Winterville and Margaret Murphy (Linwood) of Greenville, NC..
