It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sylvester Hughey (Greenville, North Carolina), born in Whippany, New Jersey, who passed away on October 29, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Hughey and Macie Hughey. He is survived by: his wife Ann; his children, Larry Hughey of Warrenton, NC, Essie Hughey of Graham, NC, Tanya Jones of Lithonia, GA, Tarsha Johnson (James) of Greenville, NC and Jennifer King-Congleton of Greenville, NC; and his friends, Michael and Rosa Wilkins. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and a great number of friends.
