He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Oscar Hathaway and Mabel Dunn Hathaway. He is survived by: his wife Dolly Overton Hathaway; his children, Michele Goodwin (Bill), Kelly Hathaway Carson, Polly Hathaway Raible (Keefe), Stanley Oscar Hathaway III and Elizabeth Hathaway Anderson; his stepsons, William Dwight Mitchum III (Wendy) and Todd Overton Mitchum (Farrah); his grandchildren, Catherine, Nicole Carson, Katie, Jameson Raible, Trey Anderson, Michael Goodwin, Will, Emily Mitchum, Gray and Faith Mitchum; and his siblings, William Alvin Hathaway (Violet) and Myra Hathaway Speake (George).
