We are sad to announce that on June 22, 2023, at the age of 84, Selma Lee Bowden (Greenville, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Arthur and Nellie Jones Lee; and her siblings, William Curtis Lee, Jean Gladson, Sally Norvell, Brown Johnston and Linda Lee.
She is survived by: her children, Sam J. Tyson Jr. (Sharon) of Greenville, Yvonne Godley (Alton) of Winterville and Nell T. Dunn; her siblings, Don Lee (Carolyn) of Greenville, Rae Arnold of Jacksonville, NC and Karen Ausbon (Steve) of Greenville; and her grandchildren, Robin Mayo (Kelly), Kristina Page, John Michael Tyson (Shannon), Nikki Whitehurst (Brian), Tony Richards (Kim), D. J. Speight (Jewel) and Melissa Pierce. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
