She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Suggs and Lilly Banks Suggs; her husband John Stocks; her siblings, Dorothy Smith, Thelma Batchelor and William Suggs, Sr.; and her sisters-in-law, Pattie Foreman, Shirley Suggs and Linda Cook.
She is survived by: her sister Joyce Stocks (Donald); her children, Deena Kersting (James) and Melvin Stocks (Chaka Kittles); her grandchildren, Jonathan Kersting (Meredith), Ashley Smith (Barrie), Jessica Wang (Max) and Sierra Stocks; her great grandchildren, Harper, Allie Kersting and Grayson Wang; and also Nola Stocks. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
