She was predeceased by: her parents, George Whitaker and Daisy Lee Pittman of Halifax County, NC.; and her siblings, Evon Whitaker, Victoria Whitaker, Lola Kornegay, Lisa Whitaker, Jerry Whitaker and Johnnie Pittman.
She is survived by: her children, James Whitaker of Ayden, NC, Terri Whitaker, Maurice Brown of Greenville, NC and Latoya Pittman of Grifton, NC; her siblings, Joyce Cherry of Ayden, NC, Jacqueline Whitaker of Ayden, NC, Lenore Ahearn of Ayden, NC, Josephine Pittman, Della Mitchell of Enfield, NC and Louis Pittman (Renee) of Washington, D. C.; and her uncle Robert Pittman. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
