He is survived by: his wife Shirley Mobley Payton; and his daughters, Betty Payton Green of Greenville, NC, Sharon Payton Booth (Jimmy) of Greenville, NC, Lorretta Payton of Greenville, NC and Mia Payton Norris (Robert) of Greenville, NC. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
