He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Whitehurst and Minnie Whitehurst; and his siblings, Ronald Whitehurst and Carrie Parrish. He is survived by: his wife Linda Tripp Whitehurst; his son David Whitehurst (Tammy) of Pactolus; his grandchildren, Alexander Whitehurst, Kristen Weston (Kaleb) and Kimberly Everette (Corey); and his brother Steve Whitehurst (Valerie) of Stedman, NC. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
