It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roy Rouse in Greenville, North Carolina, who passed away on June 17, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Roy Rouse to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ella Rouse and Napoleon Carter of Elliott, SC.; his aunt Hattie Rouse of Washington; and his spouse Maple Toney Rouse. He is survived by: his children, Dr. Lawrence L. and Janie Rouse; his grandchildren, Lawrence Lee Rouse (Serena) and Whitney J. Rouse; his cousin Marion Henry (Ruby); and his siblings-in-law, Jobe Toney (Wille Mae) of Columbia, SC, James Toney (Ethel), Willie Lee Dowell, Carrie Toney Wilson of Bishopville, SC, Thelma Toney, Roselle and NJ. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in rememberance of Mr. Roy L. Rouse to Dudley Flood Education Foundation of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc, Pitt Community College Foundation, New Zion AME Church and Big Zion AMEZ Church.
