He is survived by: his children, Jaynie and Stephen Piland; his grandchildren, Christina, Jackson and Andrew Piland; his great grandchild Hayes Piland; his mother Nancy Piland of Greenville; and his brother William "Bill" Piland (Cathy) of Ahoskie. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren.
