He is survived by: his sister Paula Terry of Greenville; his sons, David Simmons (Crystal) of Angier and Robert Simmons (Jay) of Houston, TX; his grandchildren, Cameron, Leah Simmons of Angier and Katie Simmons of Houston, TX; his niece Sylvia Briley (Charles) of Winterville; his great-niece Lauren Eason (Samuel) of Stokes; his stepdaughter Kristy Perry of Greenville; his stepgrandson Chase Perry; and his close friend Phillip Sutton of Bell Arthur.
