He was predeceased by: his mother Joyce Brock Knowles. He is survived by: his father Robert E. Knowles of Mount Olive; his wife Jayne S. Knowles; his children, Jesi Knowles-Brock (Alan Brock) of Mount Olive, Kristen Knowles Herring (Blake Herring) of Mount Olive, Holly Knowles Hoffman (Matt Hoffman) of Faison and Taylor Knowles (Brittany Brock Knowles) of Mount Olive; his siblings, Albert Ray (Elizabeth "Punk" Knowles), Brian (Virginia Knowles), Connie Knowles McIntosh (Roger McIntosh) and Raymond (Dawn Knowles); his grandchildren, Brennon, Logan, Cristina, Kolbie, Gray, John Matthew, Brylee, Amelia, Rilynn and Dawson; and his close friend Steve Wiggins. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
