He is survived by: his wife Nancy Schell Scott; his nieces, Janet Johnson, Carol Jarvis, Susan Ellis and Virginia Kennedy Louie; his nephew Howard Kennedy, Sr. (Maira); his great-nephews, Logan, Howard, Jr. and Alejandro; his cousin Jack Derrick (Dagmar); and his son Frederick Derrick (Catherine Evans).
