He was predeceased by: his wife Yvonne Russell Mclawhorn; his parents, Else McLawhorn and Ruby McLawhorn; and his siblings, Dot Joyner, Helen Wooten and Ray McLawhorn.
He is survived by: his children, Tracey McLawhorn of New Bern and R. Emerson McLawhorn of Greenville; his grandchild Stevie (Josh); and his sister Mavis Manning of Bethel.
