He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Holland Sheppard (Lib); his brother Gerald Ray Sheppard (Sistie); his sons, Maurice Glen Sheppard (Jensina) and John Leonard Sheppard (Kim); his grandchildren, Sarah Sheppard Shaver (David), Daniel Glen Sheppard (Julia), Diana Sheppard Huston (Phil), Rachel Sheppard Flemming (David), Christopher John Sheppard (Emily), Michael Alan Sheppard (Katherine), Zackery Broadhurst Layne, Blythe Katherine Layne, Layne Wesley Smith, Elizabeth Grace Smith and Taylor Morgan Smith; and also, Frank Broadhurst Layne (Janice) and Ashley Layne Smith (David).
