He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Frank Mayer and Mary Mayer; his close friend Marlee Mayer; his children, Kacy and Ryne Mayer; his stepchildren, Mandy Abernathy (Roger), Megan Davis, Molly Davis and Mike O'Connell (Kelly); his brothers, Craig Mayer (Kathy) and Kevin Mayer (Winova); and his nieces and nephews, Kaitlin Gibbs (Chris), Zachary Mayer, Parker, Asara and Austin Mayer.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Smith Funeral Service & Crematory (605 Country Club Dr, Greenville, NC 27834). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
