She was predeceased by: her parents, Jim Bullock and Ollie Bullock. She is survived by: her husband Charles Sumerlin; her daughters, Susan Braxton (Tim) and Geri Sumerlin (Kevin Gardner); her grandchildren, Timothy "TJ" Braxton, Samantha H. B. Jones (Justin), Geromy Wright (Cassidy) and Ryan Wright; and her sisters, Joyce Garris, Janie Harris and Bettie Dixon.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Smith Funeral Service (605 Country Club Dr, Greenville, NC 27834). A graveside service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Pinewood Memorial Park (4150 E 10th St, Greenville, NC 27858).
