She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Cox and Alice Reynolds Cox; and her husbands, James Curtis Hendrix and J. Fred Hamblen. She is survived by: her children, James Curtis "Curt" Hendrix, Jr. of Greenville and Alison Hendrix-Muir (Greg) of Greenville; her granddaughter Rachel Muir; her sister Liz Messick of Wilmington; and her sister-in-law Piver of New Bern.
