He is survived by: his daughter Sylvia Starling Briley (Charles) of Winterville; his granddaughter Lauren Starling Eason (Samuel) of Stokes; his friend Paula Wells Terry of Greenville; and his siblings, Brenda Leaphart (Buddy), Gail Thompson (Charlie) and Robert Wells (Linda).
