She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Allen Benson and Cora Outlaw Loftin Benson (Gregory Ashley Andrews); and her sisters, Pattie Jean Benson Stroud and Sarah Ann Whitford. She is survived by: her children, Amy Middlebrooks, Ashley Andrews and Jonathan Andrew Whitford (Chandler); her grandchildren, Dylan Walker Andrews, Dalton Gray Herring (Hailey) and Jaidyn Alyssa Herring; her great grandchildren, Onyx Gray Herring and Atlas Jade Herring; her brothers, JC Benson (Dinah), Lynwood Earl Benson (Becky) and Jimmy Benson (Barbara); her siblings-in-law, Claro Stroud and Maggie; and her pets, Izzie, Luna, Bella and Beau. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Greenville Church of God (3105 S Memorial Dr, Greenville, NC 27834). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.

Flowers are lovely, but if you would, she would prefer to give donations to the Free Will Baptist Children's Home in Middlesex, NC.
