She is survived by: her children, Beverly F. Sullivan (Sherry) of Statesville and Tina F. Bothern (Brian) of Tarboro; her sister Betty Jean Leary (Raymond); and her niece Shelby Mobley. She is also survived by many other family members and friends.

“I met Mrs. Farmer through her daughter, Beverly. We only met a few times but I sensed that Mrs. Farmer was a quiet-spoken and very dignified person. It was obvious she loved Beverly with all her heart. I know she had a deep and abiding faith, and a heart that was encompassing of love. This gentle woman will be grieved and greatly missed by her family and, though I am blessed to know only Beverly, I extend my heartfelt sympathy to her and her entire family.
