She was predeceased by: her husband Warren Whitehurst; her parents, Margaret King and Willie Gregory; and her sister Charlotte Atkins. She is survived by: her children, Jay Whitehurst (Celia) of Snow Hill, Kathryn Padgett (Bobby) of Winterville and Elizabeth Booher (Jim) of Chesapeake, VA.; her granddaughter Lindsey Bennett (Andrew) of New Bern; her great grandchild Natalie Bennett; her stepgrandchildren, Amber Crandall, Brandy Boone, Kristan Booher and Zac Booher; and her children, Sudan Shriners and New Bern.
