He was predeceased by: his former wife Ramona Lee Gaskins; and his wife Sarah Gaskins. He is survived by: his children, Danny Gaskins (Henry Doskey) of Greenville, Marlene Moore of New Bern and Leslie Godwin (Robbie) of New Bern; his granddaughter Jessica Taylor (Joe); his great grandchildren, Leah Taylor, Emma Taylor, Landon Taylor, Nicolas Godwin and Taleia Godwin; his sister Annette Scott; his nieces, Donna Hoell and Sue Foy; his nephew Mike Foy; and also Lynn Cooke.
