It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lindsay Ray Nelson (Greenville, North Carolina), who passed away on September 18, 2019, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jessie Bell Swain Nelson and Paul A. Nelson; his wife Peggy Jackson Nelson; his children, Enid N. Smith and Lindsay Nelson, Jr. (Becky Nelson); his stepdaughter Angie Ruth Congleton (Steve E. Stevenson); his grandchildren, Jessie Christine Smith, Austin Neil Smith, Valerie Nelson, Jackalene Nelson, Clairessa Nelson, Nicole Nelson, Aaron Nelson and Brandon Nelson; his stepgrandchildren, Savanna Grace Stevenson, Cody Grant Stevenson and Ryder Graysen Stevenson; and his sisters, Sylvia N. Swain of Greenville and Edith N. Reason of Wilmington.
